Childcare & Religious Exploration
The nursery is staffed for young children starting at 9:30am. Families are invited to make use of childcare, the family area in the sanctuary or Fellowship Hall, or activity bags you can take to your seats, which are available in the family area.
Summer Religious Exploration
K-12th grade Religious Exploration classes are on break for the summer. Families are invited to attend worship together. There is a family area where young people can be comfortable and childcare is always available. There will be a couple summer RE newsletters to let you know what we are planning for next year and when activities resume. In the meantime, please use the CUUC Family Google Group to coordinate summer social gatherings. To join the Google Group, contact Tracy.
A Welcoming Worship Space
Worship is a ritual we share with all ages and on Sundays when young people will be in worship for the full hour, we take special care to engage them. Young people are a vital part of our community and the way we welcome young people directly affects the way they respond to religious community, the Divine, and one another. We offer a family area in the sanctuary where young people can be comfortable while being in community and experiencing the words, music, and rituals of our shared faith. Chairs are reserved alongside the area and we ask adults to sit near your child(ren) to help them quietly navigate the sacred space of worship. Quiet activity bags are available in the family area that you can take to your seats and childcare is always available.
